LomiLomi is an ancient Hawaiian healing bodywork that has a sacred foundation and spiritual basis. The use of long and flowing strokes is a key characteristic. Using hands, forearms and elbows, and often massaging two different parts of the body simultaneously, it therefore gives the recipient the feeling of many hands on the body at once. From beginning to end, one stroke can cover an entire region of the body - sometimes the entire body – and is continuous, which gives the recipient a feeling of a never-ending massage. Many of our clients say it is like the ocean washing over them, and even  clients who themselves are experienced massage therapists say that they have never before experienced such a wonderful massage.

The Hawaiian belief is that trauma is held at a deep cellular level in the body, even if we feel the mind has 'dealt' with it. LomiLomi works at this deep level in the body, releasing and healing past trauma. LauLima (healing touch), Ha (breathwork) and PaiPai (rocking/pulsing) are often used during a LomiLomi treatment. These, combined with LomiLomi massage are  powerful and excellent ways to cleanse the emotional body and allow fresh mana (divine power) to flow through emotional blocks thereby releasing their hold on you.
