Before your treatment
I recommend that you only eat a very light meal, shower and relax as much as possible. It is not recommended that you receive massage while under the influence of alcohol or suffering from infection. I am not qualified to massage you if you are pregnant as there are many contra-indications.
During your treatment
I believe it is of the utmost importance that my clients are able to enjoy every single precious minute of the treatment time they have booked. This is unlike the common practice at many Salons and Spas where the treatment time itself is compromised in order to fit in the consultation time, the time to undress, the treatment itself, time to dress again, time for any after care or home care advice as well as the time for the therapist to prepare the room for the next client.
The treatment room is your sanctuary – a tranquil, sacred space for the duration of your treatment, in which to heal and nurture your body.
As the treatment includes a face and head massage, you will need to remove any ear rings, necklaces, glasses and contact lenses.
You will be lying on my therapy couch and you will be covered at all times, only exposing the area that is being worked on, so that you remain warm whilst you drift away...
A consultation is included in the treatment so that the 'whole person' can be treated in a safe and effective manner. And in this way, all treatments are tailored to the individual and their needs; even as those needs change. All information given before, during and after treatments is held in confidence and will not be divulged to third parties.
After your treatment
It is recommended that you drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol for at least 12 hours and relax as much as possible. Included in the price of your treatment is a sachet of Himalayan Salt Crystals*. I recommend that you dissolve all these into a warm bath and relax in this for at least fifteen minutes. This will help complete the detoxification process that you received during your LomiLomi massage.
