Hawaiian Pre-Wedding/Hand-Fasting Ritual*

*What is described is the complete wedding ritual. We can adapt this to your own requirements, including the treatments which you would both prefer.

We offer a truly beautiful pre-wedding ritual in the Hawaiian traditional way.

In traditional Hawaiian culture, LomiLomi massage and healing treatments were given to couples as they prepared for marriage. Their whole body would be cleansed both physically and emotionally to leave them free of the past and ready to move forward to the future with their betrothed in the most healthy and loving way possible.

We offer you both a wonderful ritual which will be given over a number of weeks preceding your ceremony. It will offer you the chance to cleanse, heal and relax, forgetting about the stress of your wedding day plans. It gives you both the rare opportunity to nurture yourselves and focus inwardly on your union. We believe that this offers you the perfect way to prepare yourselves for your special day and for your life together.

Several weeks before your wedding ceremony, you and your beloved will first have the opportunity to take part in Ho’oponopono – the Hawaiian ritual of love, trust & gratitude. After Ho’oponopono, you will be treated to a totally divine 90 minute Couples Hawaiian Healing Massage, both of you massaged at the same time by two skilled practitioners. This is a wonderful opportunity for you both to be in the same relaxed and open space.

During your next treatment, you will both receive a KahiLoa Hawaiian elemental massage, and then be taught Sacred Massage for Couples – beautiful LomiLomi massage strokes to give to each other – what a truly unique, romantic and adoring gift to be able to give to each other as a wedding gift! During this session, light comfortable clothing is recommended.

Finally, just before your wedding day, you will each receive a powerful 1 hour Tandem Hawaiian Healing Massage to bring to completion the relaxing, cleansing and healing process. 

You will receive a wedding gift of organic coconut oil in a beautiful bottle, for you to take home and cherish each other with the warm blessings of Aloha from the Hawaiian islands.
